Bittergourd sambar is a good for health and cook in 45 minutes. Bittergourd, toor dhal, sambar powder is the main ingredients of this dish
INGREDIENTS
100 gram small bittergourd
Vegetables (optional)
2 - 3 cup of rice water
100 gram toor dhal
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp of sambar powder
1 tsp of salt
3/4 Cup of tamarind juice
1/4 cup of coconut (grind)
3/4 big onion(cut small cube size)
2 tsp oil
1/4 tsp of urad
1/4 tsp of mustard seed
1/4 onion (chopped)
Curry leaves
1/4 tsp Asafoetida powder

Take a vessel and heat it
pour the rice water in vessel

Add toor dhal

Add turmeric powder

Boil it

Then close the vessel and boil in 15 minutes

Take a small vessel and heat it
Pour the cup of water

Take a tamarind then pour the hot water

Toor dhal cook well

Add veggies mix well

Add sambar powder and salt in medium flame

Now the veggies cook well

Add tamarind juice (medium flame)

Take a pan add oil and heat it

Add urad and mustard seed and until wait for brownish color and explosive

Add chopped onions and saute in golden brownish color

Saute well

Pour the sambar and boil it few minutes

Add coconut grind and boil it 3-5 minutes

Add Asafoetida powder and curry leaves
Now switch off the flame

Serve it
